Seattle Area Professionally Assisted group for Trichotillomania and other BFRBs

A monthly 90 minute group, started in 2003, located at 318 W. Galer St., Ste. 201, Seattle WA 98119.  Meets the fourth Thursday of the month at 6 pm.  Cost is $75 per session or $300/six sessions if paid in advance (=$50 per group).  The group is open to adults with compulsive hair pulling, skin picking, and other BFRBs, and is designed to supplement individual cognitive-behavioral therapy (eg., habit reversal training).  It is also helpful for people who have had individual therapy in the past and wish to maintain their coping skills.

Washington DC

Capitol Trich Support Group

This is a weekly support group meeting for adults with Trichotillomania and/or Dermatillomania, meeting a block from the Capitol building, convenient to the Capitol South Metro stop (Blue and Orange lines). Directions: When you arrive at the church, instead of going in through the main church doors, which will be locked during the hours of our meeting, go through the gate on the right side of the building. You will see a staircase going down. Enter the building through the double doors at the bottom of the staircase (the right-hand door should be unlocked, but it might be a little sticky so give it a good tug). Take two immediate rights, and the Fireside Room will be on your left, and is marked with a sign.

Meets every Monday at 6:30 - 8:00pm
